Description
That would allow downstream crates using the raw api, but which aren't on rustc nightly, to provide a custom allocator.

Research direction
Locate the Allocator definition and the visibility or nightly-related configuration around it. Check how the raw API is exposed and how downstream crates would use it without nightly Rust. Done means the allocator API is publicly usable by stable-Rust downstream crates, with relevant compatibility checks passing.
