Description

Right now this isn't possible:

Pattern::new("file.*").unwrap().matches_path(&PathBuf::from("/root/some/path/file.rs");

And I don't see why it shouldn't be possible, even if behind an option.

Research direction

Start at the matches_path entry point and inspect how Pattern::new patterns are applied to paths. Confirm the expected behavior for an absolute path such as /root/some/path/file.rs, including whether an option is needed; done means the provided example matches successfully.
