Description

Currently it is hard to know if tasks are being run or if something stalled, adding a loading icon would be great. This way a user knows that kontrol is actively doing something without needing to add a --verbose flag and get all the output. UI makes people feel it's working. Here are two instances where this could be beneficial.

  • kevm foundry-kompile should also have loading icon like foundry, maybe with kompiling
  • foundry-prove, foundry people will be used to seeing the moving icon

Research direction

Start by tracing the kevm foundry-kompile and foundry-prove command entry points and how foundry currently displays its moving loading indicator. Add equivalent activity feedback for both commands, including suitable wording for kompilation, and verify that users can distinguish active work from a stalled process.
