Description

On Windows, bat file is generated, thus cause Ctrl-C produce the following behavior:

Terminate batch job (Y/N)?

Which is very inconvenient.

Scoop Installer already have a solution for this, it's called "shim".

There is also a C version for it.

I've built a python package for try: https://github.com/soda92/ruby-shim

Research direction

Start by reviewing RubyGems' Windows command generation and the linked Scoop Installer, C shim, and ruby-shim implementations. Determine the design and integration points for replacing generated .bat behavior; done means Windows Ctrl-C no longer prompts with “Terminate batch job (Y/N)?” and existing command behavior remains supported.
