Description

RBS currently doesn't support protected method visibility. Protected methods are specified as public in generated rbs files.

Semantically protected methods are not the same as public. So I have a few questions:

  • Is this intentional?
  • Is protected visibility omitted from the initial release and will be supported later?

Research direction

No file, test, or entry point is named. Start by locating how method visibility is represented and how generated RBS files handle protected methods. Done means the project has a decided and tested treatment of protected visibility rather than specifying those methods as public.
