Description
See https://github.com/rtfeldman/node-test-runner/pull/488.
Opening this issue to track the potential overlap. For now we are happy to say that no compiler error that we can think of has a short enough first line for the status method to poke out.

Research direction
Start with pull request #488 and locate the status method in the node-test-runner code. Compare its output with compiler-error output, especially the first line, and determine whether any overlap is possible. Done means the potential conflict is either addressed or clearly ruled out with a regression check.
