Description

cmake -B build can be used instead of mkdir build && cd build && cmake .., but then bin_dir and source_dir symlinks are created in the current directory instead of the build directory, which breaks tests.

Research direction

Reproduce the issue with cmake -B build and inspect where the bin_dir and source_dir symlinks are created. No source file or test path is named; done means both symlinks are placed in build and the affected tests no longer break.
