[Request: enhancements relating to security, open protocol integration, and local-first replacement for APIs]

I request the following modifications/changes:

1. Some sort of containerization for the area the LLM does system and program work in.

We've all heard the horror stories where LLM disobeys the rules, deletes everything and then goes "whoops too bad". Or it does other bad things due to hallucinations (Read: errors), sycophancy, and other bad action chains. I want a reasonable way to contain this thing as its running.

2. IMAP support.

A lot use gmail and that makes sense why its included. But IMAP is much more generic and works almost everywhere. Even works with Proton with their encryption connector. I can understand why IMAP is hard to implement cause there's lots of ways to go really wrong with your mailbox.

3. Support custom STT/TTS, ideally locally hosted.

I run Whisper and Kokoro locally. I have it connected to Home Assistant, and it works well. Being able to set those local endpints as well uses my existing network and services, and not remote. Also preserves the 'local-first alternative to Claude Desktop'.

4. Support custom Search, including local search systems.

I currently use SearX-NG as a metasearch provider. However I'm looking at Hister https://github.com/asciimoo/hister , that is more of a real search engine/indexing for local and online. Also supports MCP for the LLMs to communicate and work with Hister. This also goes back to the primary thesis of "Local-First".

The request names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by mapping the existing system-work containerization, mail, STT/TTS, and search integrations, then determine whether each proposal has an existing extension point. Done would require agreed scope and implementation plans for the four separate requests, including local endpoints and safe isolation.
