Description
It is possible to download records from MEDLINE (e.g., with packages such as easyPubMed). A function that converts these to match the output of references_read() should be straightforward to implement.

Research direction
Start by reading references_read() and the easyPubMed output format. Determine which MEDLINE fields must be converted to match references_read() results, then verify that representative downloaded records produce the same structure and can be processed by the existing workflow.
