Description
With code like that, the on-device compilation will report that return should provide a value, because the function doesn't say as void. however bsc doesn't report it.
function something(items)
if items = invalid
return
end if
...
end function

Research direction
Start at the bsc diagnostic handling for return statements and compare its behavior with the on-device compilation described in the example. Reproduce the sample and confirm that a bare return in a function without as void reports the missing return value.
