Description

Hello.

Thank you very much for improvements done so far to RIDE.
I have idea for new and very useful feature.
When working with Robot Framework, there is quite often need to quickly edit simple text files e.g. YAML, JSON, XML, PY, TXT end more.
Would it be possible to enable build in RIDE text editor to support those files?
It would be also great to have ability, to see such text based files included in right panel - additional category of items - in the similiar way we have External Resources displayed.
I guess most of the file formats would go into External Data category?

Research direction

Start by locating RIDE's built-in Text Edit implementation and the right-panel handling for External Resources. Review how YAML, JSON, XML, PY, and TXT files are currently treated, then determine the supported formats, editing behavior, and how a new External Data category would appear before defining completion criteria.
