Description

Description

Native modules have support for fallback fonts. Our custom font does not support all the languages we support so text based animations render strange symbols

Expected behavior

There are already great APIs for fallback fonts on iOS and Android. We are merely proposing exposing these in the react-native sdk.

Additional context

It looks like support is described as coming soon:

(Just saw as I was adding this issue). Hopefully this issue can serve as a place to get updates or comment on complications.

Research direction

Review the linked feature-support documentation and the existing React Native SDK surface for native font configuration. Confirm how iOS and Android fallback-font APIs would be exposed, with multilingual text animations and supported-platform behavior defining what done means.
