Description
I would be in favour of having a CODEOWNERS file.
(Some inspiration)
It seems nice that we can add owners for different files and folders.
Pull requests can take this into account and auto assign names because of this.

Research direction
Start by reading GitHub's CODEOWNERS documentation and the linked marimo example, then inspect the repository structure and contributor ownership. Add a valid CODEOWNERS file covering appropriate files and folders; done means GitHub can use it to request reviews for pull requests.
