Description
Redis connection was valid even when redis-server was stopped and restarted without the retry_strategy option.
const conn = redis.createClient({
host: 'redisUrl',
port: 'redisPort',
...
socket_keepalive : true
});
redisClient.on('connect', () => {
console.log(connect);
}).on('error', () => {
console.log(error);
});

Research direction
Start with the createClient entry point and the retry_strategy behavior described in the issue. Reproduce the stop-and-restart scenario using the shown configuration, then check the client documentation and connection handling to establish whether a default exists. Done when the default behavior is confirmed and documented clearly.
