Description

Type: Bug

Extension Bisec identified this extension as the likely culprit. The crashes happened in a Typescript project with no YAML files open, although one is in the root folder. I'm simply following vscode's extension bisect and bug reporting tool, so I don't have more data.

Extension version: 1.14.0
VS Code version: Code 1.84.1 (Universal) (2b35e1e6d88f1ce073683991d1eff5284a32690f, 2023-11-06T12:37:18.666Z)
OS version: Darwin arm64 23.1.0

Research direction

Start with the VS Code extension-bisect report for extension version 1.14.0 on VS Code 1.84.1 and the reported TypeScript project on Darwin arm64. Reproduce the extension-host crash if possible; done means identifying the cause and verifying that the extension host no longer crashes in the reported setup.
