Description

have files with .qute in them and vscode offers to install https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=quandora.vscode-qutejs and not vscode-quarkus.

My guess is vscode-quarkus does not have the metadata for qute files setup right?

Start by locating the vscode-quarkus extension metadata for .qute files and compare it with the competing vscode-qutejs extension metadata. Confirm that VS Code offers vscode-quarkus for .qute files, then verify the recommendation behavior in VS Code.
