Description

Environment: Ubuntu 24.04, VS Code 1.116.0, Community Server Connectors 0.26.20, Runtime Server Protocol UI 0.24.11, JDK 1.8, tomcat 9.0.41.

After Tomcat starts the project successfully, the service stops after a few minutes. No error logs can be found either. The project runs without any issues in IntelliJ IDEA and Eclipse. After the service stops, its status in the server panel still shows Debugging.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the stop with Ubuntu 24.04, VS Code 1.116.0, Community Server Connectors 0.26.20, Runtime Server Protocol UI 0.24.11, JDK 1.8, and Tomcat 9.0.41. Inspect the server panel and available runtime information when Tomcat stops; done means identifying why it stops and keeping its status accurate when the service is no longer running.
