Research direction
Start by locating the CodeLens sidebar rendering and the existing IntelliJ plugin extension points in the LSP4IJ codebase. Define the API needed for an IJ plugin to customize that rendering, then verify that a plugin can use it to change the CodeLens appearance; the issue names no files or tests.
