Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue on Android TV with Cloudstream 4.0.1 and Android 9: pause a stream, let the screensaver start, and observe whether playback resumes. Trace the Android TV screensaver and playback lifecycle handling, then verify that audio remains paused during the screensaver and playback returns after it exits.
