'Continue Watching' section doesn't updating

Steps to reproduce

If we choose custom video players like mpv or VLC, the 'Continue Watching' section doesn't updating watched content's history. Which only update when we use Internal player only.

Expected behavior

As usual when 'Internal Player' using.

If we choose custom video players like mpv or VLC, the 'Continue Watching' section doesn't updating watched content's history. Which only update when we use Internal player only.

Reproduce issue 348 on Android 11 using a custom player such as mpv or VLC, then compare the result with the Internal Player behavior described in the report. Done means watched content updates the Continue Watching history consistently across the listed player choices; the report provides no file or test entry point, so locating the relevant code will require project research.
