Description

Describe your suggested feature

I would like to suggest adding an option to enable or disable the featured carousel at the top of the Home screen.

Some users prefer a cleaner and more compact interface that shows the content lists immediately without the large banner. Others may still prefer the current layout, so making it optional would improve customization without changing the default behavior.

Suggested implementation:

Add a setting under Settings → Interface called Show Home Carousel.

Enabled by default to preserve the current experience.

When disabled, hide the top carousel and start the Home screen directly with the content sections.

Other details

This is a quality-of-life improvement that would provide more UI customization, reduce scrolling, and make better use of screen space, especially on smaller devices. It would not affect existing functionality since the current behavior would remain the default.

Research direction

Start by locating the Settings → Interface screen and the Home screen code that renders the featured carousel. Add an enabled-by-default Show Home Carousel setting, then verify that disabling it removes the carousel while leaving the content sections visible and that the default layout is unchanged.
