Research direction
Reproduce on Android 12 with seekbar preview enabled, then use Logcat while pressing rewind/fast-forward and double-tapping seek; the issue currently provides no useful log output or code location. Trace the player and UI handling for those actions. Done means playback and the UI remain responsive during each seek interaction.
