Description
Steps to reproduce
- I download new experimental update through my release app
- A separate app created with no data (this is the issue)
Expected behavior
It should add update to existing app instead of creating a red beta app that sucks
Actual behavior
It creates separate app with no data from release app I got issues in release app with so much data but can't update cuz it creates different beta app with no data I can't upgrade pls make it in 1 app instead of creating another one

Research direction
First reproduce the upgrade from the release app to version 4.7.0 on Android 12, confirming whether a separate beta app is installed and whether existing data remains inaccessible. Trace the Android installation and upgrade handling from that reproduction, then verify that updating preserves the existing app and its data rather than creating a separate app.
