Description

Describe your suggested feature

The metadata overlay is kind of a cool feature, and when I pause a video to walk away and do something else, then come back a little later, I would like to have it, but I usually see it when I've paused a video to take a closer/longer look at something in the video that's only on screen for a brief time, which turns it into an annoyance, as it often covers what I'm trying to look at.

In a previous issue it was stated that it could be disabled (and for the time being, I'm doing that) but that the setting should be moved. When the setting gets moved, I'd like to suggest that another related setting be added to allow the user to customize how long the delay before it appears is.

Other details

Reference to where the setting being moved was mentioned before:

You can disable it in Settings → Layout → Show Player Metadata Overlay

It should be moved to Player settings for more consistency.

Research direction

Start by locating the existing “Show Player Metadata Overlay” setting and the paused-video metadata overlay behavior in the Android app. Confirm how the current overlay delay is applied, then make the delay user-configurable and place the related setting under Player settings; done means the overlay waits for the chosen duration after pausing.
