Description

Steps to reproduce
  1. Install an extension
  2. Return to the main section of the application.
  3. Open the extension selection bar.
  4. The installed extension does not appear.
  5. Uninstall the extension from the extension manager.
  6. Reinstall the same extension.
  7. The extension still does not appear in the selection bar.
Expected behavior

The installed extension should appear in the extension selection bar without any issues.

Actual behavior

The extension installs successfully but does not show up in the selection bar. Reinstalling the extension rarely fixes the issue, and in many cases it has no effect.

Other details

Multiple users in my Telegram group have reported experiencing the same issue.
All media options and categories in the app are enabled, so the extension is not being filtered out.
The extension installs normally and appears in the “Installed Extensions” list, but it does not show up in the selection menu after installation.
Removing and reinstalling the extension sometimes makes it appear, but only with a very low success rate. In many cases, the extension never appears regardless of how many times it is reinstalled.

Acknowledgements
  • I am sure my issue is related to the app and NOT some extension.
  • I have searched the existing issues and this is a new ticket, NOT a duplicate or related to another open issue.
  • I have written a short but informative title.
  • I have updated the app to pre-release version Latest.
  • I will fill out all of the requested information in this form.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the installation sequence and compare the Installed Extensions list with the extension selection bar after reinstalling an extension. Trace the extension manager and selection bar flow, then verify that an installed extension consistently appears in the selection menu without requiring repeated reinstalls.
