Description

Describe your suggested feature

Hi Dev Team,

Hope you’re all having a great day!

I’d like to suggest a few features that I believe could enhance the user experience in this fantastic app:

  1. Auto Library Management

Automatically update the library status based on user activity.

Example: If I start watching a movie, it should automatically move to the “Watching” list.

If I stop watching a title for more than 10 days, it could move to “On Hold.”

If it remains unwatched for a year, it could shift to “Dropped.”

Once I finish watching a title, it should automatically be marked as “Completed.”

If I revisit the same content later, it should start over or play again instead of resuming playback.

  1. Video Enhancement Tools

Add built-in video filters, equalizer, and playback enhancements, similar to those available in VLC.

  1. Smart Source Prioritization

Introduce a system that prioritizes the best-performing sources automatically.

For instance, like SD-WAN, where the connection with the best ping and stability takes priority, while less stable ones are downgraded but remain available.

This would ensure smoother streaming by selecting the most optimal sources first.

Research direction

Start by separating the three proposed feature areas in the issue body: library status automation, video enhancements, and source prioritization. Define the scope, behavior, and acceptance criteria for one area before locating the relevant Android/Kotlin entry points; done should be a decided, testable feature rather than a collection of broad suggestions.
