[BUG] Unable to update app in emulator Layout

Steps to reproduce

In the Emulator layout the app shows the update popup and when i press the download button, it says the app will be installed upon exit but when i close the app and reopen it the update popup shows up again.....

Expected behavior

The app should have been updated upon exit, with a toast notification showing update started....

Actual behavior

The app is not getting updated......in emulator layout, it just downloads the apk but does not update

Start by reproducing the update flow in the Emulator layout on Android 14: press the download button, exit the app, and reopen it. Check why the downloaded APK is not installed and why the update popup returns; done means the app updates on exit and shows the expected update-start toast.
