Have you considered enabling GitHub immutable releases?
This would guarantee that a given release can never be changed in the future, even in case that for example the GitHub account gets compromised.

First steps

  1. Read the whole issue, then the project's contributing guide.

  3. Fork the repository and make your change on a branch.
  4. Open a pull request that references the issue number.

Research direction

Start with the linked GitHub documentation on immutable releases and check the SwiftLint repository's release settings and permissions. Confirm whether immutable releases can be enabled for this repository, then verify that future releases cannot be changed after publication.
