Description
In previous work to the remote repository and repository field, the fields were joined and more UI elements were added to guide the user.
One piece that still isn't clearly communicated is when a user is interacting with a remote repository connected by another user. There is a warning in the list but it's not clear that deselecting the remote repository from the other user is irreversible -- it's not possible to select this repository afterwards. This could maybe use a warning state or a modal with the warning in addition to the note about the remote repository ownership in the select dropdown.
The select dropdown has limited room, so this text should not be expanded to explain this. It's too much text for that UI.

Research direction
Start by reviewing the referenced pull request and issue #678, then locate the remote-repository select dropdown and its existing ownership warning. The work is done when deselecting another user's remote repository clearly warns that the action is irreversible, using a warning state or modal without expanding the dropdown text.
