Description

It would be good to be able to just paste the GitHub URL of the project and get the exact result.

That will be a lot quicker. Besides, it would avoid typos, or even importing repositories with the same name (forks from another organization/user).

First steps

  1. Read the whole issue, then the project's contributing guide.

  3. Fork the repository and make your change on a branch.
  4. Open a pull request that references the issue number.

Research direction

No file, test, or entry point is named. Start by tracing the project-add flow and its current project-name input, then determine how GitHub URLs are parsed and resolved. Done means a pasted GitHub project URL returns the exact repository rather than relying on a name match.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
