Description

Describe the feature request

These features are currently unimplemented onClick. Adding this here as a feature request. Happy to help taking a look at an implementation.

For a synchronous preventDefault in TextInput's onChange, I assume we need an upstream PR in core.

Research direction

Start by inspecting the existing onClick handling and TextInput's onChange behavior in React Strict DOM. Determine how preventDefault and stopPropagation should work for onClick, and whether synchronous preventDefault requires an upstream React core change; completion should include the agreed implementation and validation for those event behaviors.
