Description
This seems to be a common question: https://github.com/react-navigation/react-navigation/issues/4253#issuecomment-389793956

Research direction
Start by reading the linked React Navigation issue and its referenced comment, then inspect the current documentation for switch and tab navigators. Clarify whether the desired outcome is a persistent switch navigator, composition guidance, or both; done should mean the agreed behavior is supported and documented with an example.
