Research direction

Start with the ':app:createBundleMyAppDebugJsAndAssets' task and the project.react.hermesCommand setting mentioned in the error. Reproduce the build in the Docker image on the reported Mac M1 setup, then confirm the React Native bundle builds without the OS-not-recognized error.

Description

Hi there,

I used the image to create my RN application (0.76.9) within Docker (running on a Mac M1). However, I am facing the following issue:

  • What went wrong:
    Execution failed for task ':app:createBundleMyAppDebugJsAndAssets'.

OS not recognized. Please set project.react.hermesCommand to the path of a working Hermes compiler.

Any idea how to solve?

Thank you!
