Research direction

Start by reading src/index.tsx at line 71 and trace how the element is passed to ResizeObserver.observe. Reproduce the reported error with a non-Element value and inspect the surrounding component behavior. Done means the reported invalid-element case is handled without the ResizeObserver type error, with the expected behavior confirmed.
