Description

Rationale / Begründung

We would like to introduce a new type of data object that is related to the RDMO Task but has a few differences. For the requirements in this DMP Review and Recommendations feature it might suffice to have the existing Task and treat them differently.

Recommendations advice users on potential improvement points in their DMP. Therefore, the answers of the user are evaluated by conditions.
Recommendations should be visually different from normal Tasks, so that they are recognizable in the Task overview. For example by a different Icon, Label, Color etc.

Recommendations should only be visible in the project detail page, when the review service is activated

Affected

Users, Managers

Minimal functionality
  • implement Recommendations (similar to Tasks) that can be implemented for certain Catalogs by Editors and can be shown/hidden by the User in a Project

Research direction

Start by reviewing the existing Task behavior and the related [DMP Review] issues linked in the reference search. Trace how catalog editors define tasks, how users show or hide them in a project, and how the review service is activated on the project detail page. Done means recommendations support the required visibility, evaluation, and distinct presentation without disrupting normal Tasks.
