Description

Extension

Raycast Version

0.63.0.0

OS Version

Tahoe 26.5.1 arm64

Description

When copying a password using the "Generate Random Password" extension on Raycast beta, the password is successfully copied and can be pasted, but it does not appear in maccy's clipboard history. The same action on Raycast stable is logged correctly in maccy.

Steps To Reproduce

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Install maccy (open source clipboard manager)
  2. Use "Generate Random Password" extension to copy a password
  3. Paste somewhere to confirm it copied — it works
  4. Check maccy clipboard history — entry is missing
Current Behaviour

Actual Behavior: Password is copyable/pasteable but maccy does not record the event.

Expected Behaviour

Expected Behavior: Copy event is logged in Clippy history as it was on Raycast stable.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue with the Generate Random Password extension, Raycast beta, stable Raycast, and the maccy clipboard manager. Compare how the password copy behaves in beta versus stable; done means a copied password appears in maccy's clipboard history as it does on stable.
