Description
To be accurate the picture that represents the generic graph does not represent a function, actually it is not a function since there are instances where for a given X-value there is more than one Y-value. In mathematics a graph is a help and a guide but it should not be misleading

Research direction
No file or test is named; start by locating the generic graph image in the book materials and checking the surrounding explanation. Confirm that the replacement graph passes the vertical-line test and update the illustration so it no longer depicts multiple Y-values for one X-value.
