Description
When stepping through a program in the debugger, the variables panel scrolls to the bottom on every step, so one must scroll up to see the most local variables. Whatever code updates the contents of the editor should reset its scroll position.

Research direction
Start at the debugger's variables panel and the code that updates the editor contents during stepping. Reproduce the issue by stepping through a program and inspect how the panel's scroll position changes; done means the view remains at the intended position so local variables stay visible after each step.
