Description
When I scrolling in DrRacket, I frequently get small horizontal artifacts in the definitions area (notice the 6-7 small, black/blue, horizontal lines). It only seems to happen when scrolling with the scroll wheel rather than by dragging the scrollbar. It happens in Gtk3, as well as Gtk2 (manually overriding with PLT_GTK2=1). The artifacts go away when losing focus and re-focusing the DrRacket window.
Racket 6.10.1
GTK3 3.22
GTK2 2.24
Arch Linux 4.13.6-1 x86_64
A friend has the same issue (running KDE). Apparently the artifacts didn't show up when using an older version of Racket (6.3).

Research direction
No source file or test is named. First reproduce the artifacts in DrRacket using the scroll wheel on Linux with GTK3 and GTK2, then compare the behavior with scrollbar dragging and focus changes; done means the horizontal artifacts no longer appear during wheel scrolling.
