Description

Describe the bug
When querying an index where meta is a json field, with the following contents:

{"meta":{"user": "trinity"}}
{"meta":{"user": {"username": "trinity"}}}

a query for meta.user:* returns only the 1st doc on Quickwit, but returns both in ES

Research direction

Reproduce the meta.user:* query against documents where meta.user is a string and an object, then compare Quickwit’s results with Elasticsearch. Trace the JSON-field existence query behavior and confirm the fix includes both documents without changing the expected query semantics.
