Description

References for the rest API says only a fast_field of type i64 or u64 are supported, but datetime also seems supported (not as a partition_by_field though). Also the datetime is always µs precision independently of the index configuration

Research direction

Start with the REST API reference covering search streams and fast_field types. Update it to document datetime support, clarify that datetime cannot be used as a partition_by_field, and state that its precision is always microseconds regardless of index configuration.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
