Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. Search the repository for split_num_docs_target, split_store_max_num_bytes, and max_trace_duration_secs, compare their current representations with the 10M, 100G, and 1h examples, then determine how to verify that all parameters are human-readable and writable.
