Description
When doing an aggregation over a string field, it can be useful to apply a filter over the field being aggregated.
Use case:
Application logs with a facet over the different endpoints.
The endpoints that interests the user could be all of the endpoints below /api/admin/.
In that case the use could be interested in getting the aggregation results only for endpoints starting by /api/admin/.
In practise, we want to convert that into a range query, so that we apply we filter a range over the term ordinals.
Warning
This is not about query filter, this is aggregation filtering.
The point is to display a subset of the aggregates count.
