Description
We could print a warning with a link to the docs outlining the limitations when using the filesystem as datadir or meta-store. It may ease onboarding new users.

Research direction
The issue does not name a file or test. Start by locating the configuration or startup entry point that selects the local filesystem as the default index root URI, then find the documentation describing datadir and meta-store limitations. Done means users receive a warning with a link when this local default is used, with coverage for the relevant behavior.
