Description
I’ve never liked the way proxy objects are lumped together when they come from different plug-ins.
Maybe we could add a “Proxy Objects” category on the left of the catalog pane and show a list of plug-ins currently providing proxies. This might be more trouble that it’s worth. I’m not sure if we could show the proxies themselves under each plug-in since they literally do come from one object source.

Research direction
Start by locating the catalog pane and the existing proxy-object grouping, then inspect how plug-ins currently provide proxies. Clarify whether the proposed “Proxy Objects” category should list plug-ins, proxies, or both, and define the intended navigation before implementation.
