Description

from @oschulz

Research direction

Start by reviewing the definition of DataValueArray and its current AbstractArray relationship. Read the referenced DataValueArrays.jl issue for context, then determine whether DenseArray is the appropriate parent type; the work is done when the subtype relationship is changed consistently and existing behavior remains valid.
