[Visual Editor, Suggestion] Figure/Image scaling

I've got a small suggestion for the visual editor and more specific for latex/pdf based output. Recently I've started to scale my word document to fit exactly a A4 paper size, so I can compare the image sizes on readability without having to print it.

For the Quarto visual editor, specifically the one used in VSCode, I found that I can scale the equation to make them bigger in the editor, but I couldn't find one for figures. Although it's probably not worth to implement, being able to see the image in real scale directly in the editor without having to render it would be neato.

I've added a screenshot comparing two 8cm wide images, the left one being in word and the right one in the visual editor in VSCode.

What are your thoughts on this suggestion?

Start with the Quarto visual editor used in VSCode and compare its existing equation scaling behavior with the figure display shown in the issue. Define how real-scale figures should behave for A4 output and 8 cm-wide images; the work is done when the editor displays figures at the agreed scale without requiring a render.
