Description
Bug description
Currently, it's possible to use markdown/shortcode in several text subkey in navbar for websites/books, but not everywhere.
For instance, navbar tools text subkey don't evaluate markdown/shortcodes (https://quarto.org/docs/websites/website-navigation.html#navbar-tools).
This was partly reported/updated in https://github.com/quarto-ext/fontawesome/issues/6.

Read the navbar tools documentation linked in the issue, then trace how text is handled for website and book navigation and compare that with navbar tools. Done means markdown and shortcodes render in navbar tool text consistently with the other text subkeys.
