Description

🐛 Describe the bug

Trying to compile a simple Transposed Convolution layer via aot_arm_compiler.py fails to fallback to CPU.

Here is the model under test:

import torch

ModelUnderTest = torch.nn.ConvTranspose2d(in_channels=3, out_channels=1, kernel_size=(5, 5), stride=(3, 3), padding=(2, 2))
ModelInputs = (torch.randn(1, 3, 4, 4),)

I am not sure how much TFLite->Vela flavor is relevant here, but according to the supported ops documentation at https://gitlab.arm.com/artificial-intelligence/ethos-u/ethos-u-vela/-/blob/main/SUPPORTED_OPS.md?ref_type=heads TRANSPOSE_CONV with stride > 2 is not supported. That is the case in the model defined above. If same/similar constraints apply here in the ExecuTorch flow that would be my assumption why the op cannot be delegated.

Regardless of the non-delegation reason I would expect this operator to fallback to CPU (with an explanation why). <- Expected behavior

Actual behavior
Instead, I get the following error, without the .pte file generated:
