Location of Change/Update: Admin

Requested By: PyCon US Team

Date Requested: 08/16/22

Description of Change/Update:
When editing a sponsorship benefit, a "New Benefit" check box is available with the description "If selected, display a "New This Year" badge along side the benefit." However, the badge does not display on https://www.python.org/sponsors/application/ for benefits with the check box selected.

Reason for Change/Update:
So sponsors can see the additions to the 2023 Sponsorship Benefits packages and a la carte benefits.

Priority : 3. Low

Date Needed: Sponsorship Launch

Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue at the admin sponsorship benefit page and the sponsorship application page, using a benefit with “New Benefit” selected. Trace how that setting reaches the application display; done means the “New This Year” badge appears for selected benefits and remains absent for unselected ones.
